European & Classic Car Picnic

On Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 10am - 2pm at the QA Centre (2400 Arbutus REuropean & Class Car Picnicoad, Victoria, BC), the Vancouver Island Region of the Porsche Club of America hosted the ninth annual European & Classic Car Picnic to raise money for the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children which supports children and youth with special needs.

There were 180 cars on display and more than 2,000 spectators took part in this car show and family festival!  There was a $20 entry fee for owners wishing to display their European or classic car and spectators entered by donation.

It was a wonderful night where special moments turned into lasting memories and $30,000 was raised for children and youth served by the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children.

The three Bay stores on Vancouver Island – Downtown, Mayfair Mall, and Nanaimo have donated $4,000 worth of pots and pans for the kitchen at Jeneece Place.  Now it is everyone else’s turn to go shopping!

Between April 10 - 16, visit any Fairway Market and you can help to Pack the Pantry at Jeneece Place.  All of the collected food will be made available to families staying at this home away from home while their children are receiving medical care.
